Polling day in Brighton

At last, you can go and vote today for your Green Party candidates. As an added treat, the Green Party bus will be spending all day in Brighton. As it drives around, some of our famous Green politicians will be on the bus, shouting out to the people of Brighton over the bus speakers. Listen to Caroline Lucas MP, Keith Taylor MEP and me, as we remind people to vote, and say why you should vote Green. At the same time, volunteers will be knocking on doors to remind Green voters to go to the polling stations and vote.

Provisional programme (subject to change)

Time Place What's happening
10:00 Sussex University Bus starts its trip, going to Sussex University with Caroline Lucas and Keith Taylor, then travels around town
12:00 Sussex University Bus rests. Visit it, take a look, take some leaflets, then ask people to vote Green
14:00 Various Bus starts travelling around Brighton, speaking to voters.

What you can do

  1. Vote. Polling stations are open from 07:00 to 22:00. You do not need a polling card to vote, just turn up and tell them your name and address.
  2. Tell the world you have voted Green. Pledge your vote online, then tweet it and share on Facebook.
  3. You can help get out the vote. Come to the Eco Centre, Junction Road, directly opposite Brighton station, any time today. You will be given a list of voters to telephone or visit to remind them to vote.

Here's a film from inside the bus, showing a candidate talking to voters.
