Mole Valley: the New Texas?

Oil and gas applications flooding into Surrey could cause the area to become the new Texas. Rigs and heavy lorries are set to appear in our beautiful countryside and near towns and villages.

Join the discussion about what we can do to halt the growth of the damaging fossil fuel industry in our area – film and Q&A in Dorking at 7.30pm on Tuesday November 8th. Watch “Voices from the Gasfields” – a film by Ian Crane on fracking and its impacts in the UK and in Australia and meet the film maker. It started with one conventional oil exploratory oil rig in Southern Queensland – now there are 280,000 hectares of fracked land plus infrastructure across this rural area.  Hear from local residents and campaigners about the covert development of the unconventional oil industry and its impacts.

No booking required. Refreshments available. Donations welcome at the event.
