Green Party Stop Brexit electric bus tour

the busOur Stop Brexit electric bus is coming your way, bringing your Green Party MEP candidates to you.

bus tour mapThe Stop Brexit Bus was unveiled for the first time at the launch. A single decker bus wrapped in green and emblazoned with the slogans Stop Brexit and Fight climate change, it is 100% electrically powered and normally charged at base by solar power. After the launch it will be touring the South East with key stops in villages, towns and cities, including a ferry to the Isle of Wight, and on the eve of the election will arrive in Dover for a symbolic visit to the white cliffs.

Come and see the bus when it stops near you. Listen to the speeches, find out why we need Green MEPs to represent us and join our campaign. Pick up some leaflets and posters. Tell your friends.

We launched the bus tour yesterday in Brighton, with speeches by our first MEP, Caroline Lucas MP and our lead candidate, Alexandra Phillips.

The launch comes at a time when the Green Party has overtaken the Conservatives in the national polls for the first time in history and when the Remain parties together have overtaken Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party. At the launch, Alexandra said:

As the largest UK Remain party in the European Parliament, with a strong track record of working hard for the people we represent, the Green Party is best placed to take on Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party across the UK. I cannot wait to go head to head with Nigel Farage himself, here in the South East, and show him just how much we reject his brand of destructive hatred.

We only had the bus for a week, so we only managed to reach towns near places where we could get the bus recharged. In 2014 we had a bus for 3 weeks, so we could go everywhere.
