Join activists against airport expansion at the anti expansion rally in Parliament Square on October 10th.
Please can you rendezvous with South East Green Party chair Cllr Jonathan Essex at 1030. Come out of Westminster tube station opposite the houses of Parliament, turn left round the corner onto the embankment, but stay on the side opposite the river and he will be there (near Portcullis House). He will have our giant no new runways banner and needs help carrying it.
More information about the rally is here
Please do bring friends and family as it would be great to get a good Green turnout to support our speaker – London mayoral candidate Sian Berry. The Greens remain the only political party against airport expansion, wherever it might occur, for reasons including the contribution it would make to climate change. We need to get this point home to those claiming the moral high ground by being against Heathrow expansion: Zac Goldsmith and Jeremy Corbyn for instance. A decision is expected by the Government within 11 weeks and we can only see off this huge threat if we all stand together.
We hope you'll all join to gather behind our giant No New Runways banner and stand alongside campaigners from Heathrow, Gatwick and elsewhere aiming to stop airport expansion in its tracks.
Please RSVP here so we know you're coming along.
