Are you a new member? 2800 people joined the Green Party in SE England in 2014, 1800 in the last 3 months. Welcome. Come to one of our training and find out how you can help in our local and general election campaigns.

Or are you an experienced member? Someone who has been waiting for the day when hundreds of supporters can come out to campaign with you? Come to one of our training days and learn new skills for the 2015 campaigns.

1000 | On arrival participants go to tables to study displays and talk to guides and participants from around the SE. Sign up for afternooon sessions. |

Workshops
Since we are using a whole church, we can run several small group workshops at the same time. Sign up in the morning for your preferred sessions. Workshops that could be offered are:
- Video making and interview practice.
Candidates can practice been interviewed on video (individually or in mock hustings), others can learn how to make videos using mobile phones. - Writing for different media.
Practice writing for press releases, letters, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc. so that people will read it. - Framing our messages.
How can we set the agenda when communicating with voters and the media? - Online media.
How to campaign online, using social media to effectively to spread our messages, and recruit new supporters. - Data management.
How can we collect, analyse and use data in an election campaign as well as Obama did? - Fund-raising
Sharing good fundraising techniques.
Depending on interest from participants, we will run some during the training day, others as webinars afterwards.
Knowledge sharing sessions
At the end of the day, participants will come together in groups dealing with the same type of campagning, and work out what they can do next.
- Rural campaigns
- Urban campaigns
- Student campaigns
- Parliamentary campaigns (for general election candidates)
- Capacity building: engaging the Green surge for future campaigns
Finally, it is a great opportunity to learn from people from other local parties, including the Oxfordshire Green Party members who are campaigning in the Oxford East advanced constituency, one of the national Green Party targets.
Please RSVP below so we can plan for the numbers coming. We will send out further details of arrangements for the day and the programme shortly before the event. We are asking for a donation of £5 to cover the cost of room hire on the day, from everyone who can afford it.
