Beresford John Greene signed Chichester Action on Air Pollution Petition 2018-09-17 21:51:21 +0100Yes I entirely sympathise. Traffic pollution of all dimensions has gone way beyond a joke. Local roads choked. Fumes & noise everywhere dawn to dusk. (and much more), The constant inherent danger of moving vehicles. It has to be curbed and our population has to make some sacrifices in order to do so. It is beyond ridiculous now.
Your proposal do not go far enough. This motor car freedom and general travel freedom is a stupid waste of time and resources. Brexit might show us a more austere Britain that can no longer afford the means to kill ourselves in this way. Of course the greedy can’t see beyond their immediate needs can they? Mother Earth pays the price. Take a look. Normal Summer was it? Floods in America and Asia right now. Normal seasonal events are they?
Oh yes take a very good look and see what your party is party to. Complicit in. Much more than road traffic levels eh?
I’ll sign. You bet I will!
Your street could be an even more pleasant place to live.
Please sign the petition below, where we are calling on Chichester District Council to improve the air quality in Chichester, caused by the ever increasing traffic.

Your street could be an even more pleasant place to live. We are calling on Chichester District Council to improve the air quality in Chichester, caused by the ever increasing traffic. High levels of pollution in the air cause increased rates of asthma among children and adults and premature deaths.
We want to see Chichester District Council:
- Set up anti-idling zones especially near schools
- Encourage our major employers (College, University, hospital and councils) to introduce buses and car sharing schemes to reduce traffic
- Introduce Park and Ride to lessen city congestion
- Put pressure on Stagecoach to introduce cleaner buses
