Isle of Wight action day - spotlight on the Young Greens

The South East Young Greens are organising a collective outing this weekend, which will be centered in Ryde.

Other Green Party members and supporters are also very welcome to come along.

You can help us win another Green MP. We're campaigning to win in the Isle of Wight to get Vix Lowthion elected. Vix says:

"Please come to the sunny Isle of Wight to join our campaign, I believe we can win here, help us turn the island Green".

To win we need to contact thousands of householders by delivering leaflets and knocking on doors. The Isle of Wight team need help from people who can door knock - training will be provided for canvassing. We've recently gained a Green councillor on the Isle of Wight and came a good second in many seats for the Isle of Wight Council. But the Isle of Wight Green Party can't reach all the Green voters on their own. Your efforts can make a real difference.

Please come over for the day or weekend, meet the team, get some training (if you need it) and set off out to win votes. If you'd like to stay overnight please let the IOW team know and they will aim to find you a home stay with a member.

Young Greens: camping is being organised or there are homestays available. Please let the IOW contact know.

Meet at 11am at the Esplanade bus station in Ryde (the ferry from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pierhead leaving at 1015 would arrive in time). You can walk down the Pier or get the shuttle train service which connects with the ferry.

If you can come along please email volunteer co-ordinator Jenny Agricola membership@isleofwight.greenparty.org.uk and she will be in touch with joining instructions. You can also RSVP below but emailing Jenny is the most important thing to do. Thank you.

Save the date: Eve of Poll June 7 and Polling Day June 8 – we will be posting details for this soon.

Travel tips: buy an all in one train and ferry ticket to keep the cost down. Travel together to get Group savings, and use railcards. Cars are expensive on ferries. There is an access fund for Young Greens (50% of train fare refunded until we run out of funds). First come, first served. Bikes are useful for getting around. Your local party co-ordinators are being asked to organise group days out in your area. Please contact them for details.
